A must go-to spot if you find yourself in San Diego. Great authentic Mexican food, and the pink drink is incredible. I go here for lunch way too many times when visiting

I went there because it was close to my hotel and they are on the list for earning airmiles through dining. I had the tacos, I was not impressed. I like street taco style and these were more on the cheese and saucy side. They were big but looked almost like a burrito...Not what happened like. Setting is more like a fast food joint.

We love to take our out of town guests to El Indio. Charming place great staff and wonderful food.

This has been one of my favorite places to eat. It's authentic, delicious and the service is fast. If you haven't been, please go and try my personal favorite beef "mordiditas".

I'm not sure when El Indio first opened but I have been eating there for over 30 years. Consistent good Mexican food. I love the beef Morditiitas with lots of jalapenos. Parking can be hard to find but is always available. The people who work there are always friendly and willing to help gringos who visit and have never eaten Mexican food. I always look for opportunities to eat there and have never been disappointed.

Finally a local budget friendly restaurant that’s good! We’ve driven by this place every time we are in San Diego and go to BlueWater nearby, but have never stopped here until this visit. What a little gem - totally not what I expected since it’s basically a fast food style place yet home made like. Very reasonable prices and everything we had was delicious. It’s conveniently located near the airport, freeway and little Italy. This is definitely on our list to go back when we return.

The quality is good, and the meats are delicious. You also get good portion sizes.

The food was amazing. Was a little wait but well worth it.

My husband is not a fan of Mexican food. This restaurant is one of the exceptions where she can find things that are not too spicy but very tasty. I thought it is was one of the best in the LA area we have eaten at.

Stopped of at El Indio Mexican for a late lunch. My favorite fast food place! I ordered the taco salad with chicken. Been coming here forever. I work close by an sometimes stop by for a quick combo plate on the way home! Stop by if you have a chance- Enjoy!!😃

As a vegetarian I was very pleased with the many selections for me. The service was good and the amount of food was great. The cooking is traditional and not exceptional.

Large portions and yummy. Chips were good but not as amazing as the hype.

This place isn't too fancy, but the food is still awesome. A shout out to all waiters that have been working hard to serve the food quickly. The place was spacious and clean as well, which is a great impact on me. I love how organized they were. From the entrance, they were very welcoming. It was a great place to dine in.

Surely a spot worth stopping over, the food is good and well prepared, the pricing is reasonable and it is always clean in here. Keep up the good work.

Wow, we were going to go next door but their was a line out the door so we came here. Yummm! It was delicious and reasonable. Service was friendly, restaurant was clean, and food was great too....glad we ended up here

Pretty amazing place with lots of choices to enjoy. Especially for a vegetarian family we had a lot to choose from and enjoy. A must eat on your next San Diego trip.

Great California Burrito and chips. Loved their own made shells, best I have eaten. A must place to eat. Loved the interior of the building.

Food was good! Pretty busy place but they get you through fast! I wasn't a big fan of the chips.... too thick for my preference but that's just me.

Best Mexican Restaurant in San Diego. Never miss going when on a visit. The Churros are outstanding a d the food is authentic.

One of my favorite Mexican spots in San Diego. The fresh tortillas are the best, and every taco I’ve had has been delicious. Tamales can’t be beat, either! The taco in the picture may not be beautiful but it sure was good.

Great enchiladas and burritos, great salsa and the beers were ice cold.

El Indio is one of the absolute best Mexican restaurants in San Diego. Everything is made in house with great care. The tortillas are amazing and you can just buy them from them if you want to make your food fiesta at home. Also, get a bag of chips- so good!

Stumbled upon this gem. Had one beef and one chicken taco. Deep fried flour tortillas for that perfect crunch. Meat was seasoned wonderfully and the in house salsas were excellent.

Excellent food. The most important part for me was how friendly the cashier was when he greeted us upon ordering. He made it an awesome environment

Great Mexican food and lovely place to have dinner. The place is simple but clean. The staff was very nice. I had amazing carne asada and sweet tamales!
